Support services.

Counsellors work with teachers and the student support center to develop classroom management strategies and provide support to staff where appropriate.

Everything discussed in the sessions are generally kept confidential (i.e., not shared with anyone else). The exception to this is when there is a risk of harm to the student or anyone else. In this case, the counsellor will share necessary information with the relevant parties. Counselling records may be shared with the clinical supervisor of the counsellor to ensure the quality of the service; however, the anonymity of the student will be maintained, i.e., no names will be disclosed.
