GIS wins Runners-up and 3rd Place at the Inter-school Netball Tournament 2015

GIS Netball teams played very well during the Inter-school Netball tournament held from 03rd May to 10th May 2015. Both the Under 12 & 16 team reached the semi-finals after playing beautiful matches.
The Under 12 girls could not reach the finals but swept away with the 3rd place of the age category while the Under 16 team played finals. Despite their hard work, they managed to walk away as the Runners-Up team!
Above everything, it was unfortunate that our Under 14 team did not reach the semi-finals though they are one of the best among the teams in the age category. Three teams including ours got equal points but was unfortunately pushed out of semi-finals which was not handled fairly; it was a mystery that we never knew how the team got eliminated.
The three teams were trained and coached by Fiontti Sports Academy. GIS wishes to thank the coaches: Hana, Ifaga, Zunana and Hamna. GIS also expresses sincere gratitude to Ms. Aishath Nazima, the founder of Fiontti Sports Academy who is also the head coach of our teams.
