Under a programme by the name of "Chat with Champions" , initiated by the Maldives Olympic Committee, Mr. Steve Frew, a Scottish gymnast and Commonwealth gold medalist, visited GIS to chat with the students of grades 6 and above, in a special assembly on 28th August, 2017
Student Achievement Award Ceremony 2016 – Synergy makes it possible!

One of the grandest events of this year was the Student Achievement Ceremony (SAAC) which was held on two nights: 18th August 2017 for the Juniors and 19th August 2017 for the Seniors respectively. The first night was graced by the former Foreign Minister, Ms. Dunya Maumoon and the second night by the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Ahmed Sareer. It was also an honour that First Lady, Madam Fathimath Ibrahim also attended this ceremony.
