GIS's very talented kids displayed their sport skills at the Sports Festival held today, 22nd October 2015 in the school hall. Students enjoyed performing all the sports activities arranged in the hall which were set up focusing on aspects such as stamina, endurance, coordination and agility. Different grades were given different times to complete the tasks while their parents enjoyed watching them run, roll, squat, jump or throw.
Inter-class Handball for Grade 4 & 5
Inter-class Handball Tournament for Grade 4 & 5 was held on Friday 16th October 2015. All students of each class in Grade 4 were given the opportunity to play 3 matches while students of Grade 5 played 2 matches excluding the final matches. GIS has a philosophy of focusing on ‘all students’ when organising different activities. During this tournament all students have showed good sportsman-spirit during all matches.
The tournament was organised under the supervision of the Sports Coordinator Mr. Farish supported by the PE department. Referees from Handball Maldives judged the matches. During the tournament the students who achieved ‘Best Player’ positions were awarded with certificates.
GIS wishes to thank all students, teachers and parents of Grade 4 & 5 for being so cooperative and supportive throughout the tournament and contributing to the success of the tournament.
