GIS for the community
Under 'Gift a Smile' programme, we collected donations this year as a whole school community service activity. We thank the students, parents and staff members who donated food items for this charity. Every year this activity is conducted in collaboration with Mahaldheeb Foundation. This year we reached out to 131 families. We donated food items to Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives as well. The donation was handed over to Mahaldheeb foundation to be distributed to families. The students, parents and staff members of GIS are grateful for the opportunity we got to contribute to this worthy cause.

GIS for the community
As part of the GIS for the Community programme,
some students from Grade 7 helped in the charity run organised by IRunners. Students assisted in giving water to the runners and cheered and encouraged them. They also assisted in distributing medals to the participants. Thank you, students, for a wonderful job.
TLIM Sessions for Staff & PTA EXCO 2025
We were honoured to welcome Mr. Ameer Ahamed, CEO of Franklin Covey Sri Lanka and Maldives, to our school on January 30, 2025. He conducted a series of insightful sessions for our staff and PTA EXCO.
The day began with a productive training session for our secondary grade teachers, focusing on integrating Leader in Me concepts into their subjects and enhancing the effectiveness of Leader in Me periods. In the afternoon, Mr. Ameer led a session for our core Lighthouse Team, guiding them on action planning for the next academic year. The day concluded with an informative introductory session for our PTA EXCO, where he introduced the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and emphasized the importance of implementing the Leader in Me Programme in our school.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Ameer and Franklin Covey Sri Lanka and Maldives for their dedication and support in helping GIS achieve new heights in our Leader in Me Programme implementation. A partnership between all stakeholders involved in this process is key to the holistic development of our students.
