Space Week
GIS recently celebrated an inspiring Space Week! Our students were engaged in exciting hands-on activities centered around the theme "Space Stations." The GIS Science Department masterfully demonstrated how space stations play a crucial role in monitoring Earth's climate change. As part of our Space Science Education Programme launched in 2020, this event successfully boosted student interest in space-related topics. Our young scientists gained valuable insights into the vital role space stations play in understanding and addressing global climate challenges!
GIS For The Community
GIS for the community
Around 100 students from grades 7, 8 , 9 and 10 volunteered in the 15th Dhiraagu Maldives Road Race held yesterday. Students worked tirelessly in the water stands across the race course distributing water to the runners. They also cheered and encouraged the runners. Thank you students for a marvelous job. We thank Dhiraagu for giving Ghiyasuddin International School the opportunity to assist in this event.

Occupation Day 2024
Our grade one students had an exciting time dressing up to represent various occupations as we marked this year’s GIS Occupation Day. We invited professionals from different institutions to share insights about their work, providing students with valuable information and hands-on experiences at each stall. This event complements their Social Studies topic on Occupations.
Students engaged in interactive activities, learning about different careers in a fun and engaging way. Their newfound knowledge will also be showcased through speaking activities in both English and Dhivehi classes.
We hope that through these events, we help students connect their classroom learning to real-world examples, fostering curiosity and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the special invitees for setting aside time to join the event.
