GIS Celebrates Innovation and Excellence at Annual Student Achievement Awards (SAA)
GIS proudly hosted its Annual Student Achievement Award Ceremony on August 13th and 14th, honouring the achievements of over 872 students in a vibrant celebration themed “Innovation and Excitement.”
A highlight of the event was the surprise entrance of a student-engineered robot, crafted by five Grade 10 students and one Grade 8 student. This was an inspiring symbol of creativity and forward-thinking as every little bit of the robot was made with waste materials. The school choir and band amplified the energy with a touching performance of the theme song, uniting the audience in celebration. Additionally, each SAA phase concluded with heartfelt votes of thanks to our parents and teachers, by Gr. 1 to 3 students. Each delivery was with eloquence and deep appreciation, leaving a lasting impression of gratitude and emotional resonance.
Awards were presented in five phases across grade clusters (Gr. 2–10), by last year’s class teachers and PTA Executive Committee members, reflecting the strong partnership between school and families.
A central higlight of the ceremony was the stirring keynote address by Principal Thoha Saleem, whose words echoed the school's core values. Emphasizing on innovation, he further encouraged the students to embrace their roles as future changemakers.
This year’s ceremony was not just a celebration. It was a testament to excellence, a showcase of student brilliance, and a vision for the future.
