What does Education mean to you and why?

To me, education is the most important thing in life. Education is learning not only academic information like cell structures of plants, algebra and so on, but it also means learning responsibility, social values and good morals. Education also means developing one’s mind to become an important part of the future, to develop ideas that benefit the entire world.

I think education is important because without education and passing down of knowledge, we as humans would not have progressed. When we go to school we learn information from subjects like Science, Economics Maths etc. In this way we learn about the world, and our surroundings, and from day one in school, we enter a community and we learn manners as well as social values.

Education is all about learning things in a structured way from the information available at that given time. If information was not made available and passed down, everyone’s great ideas would have died with them, and the world would never have become what it is now. When we engage in seeking knowledge our mind broadens and ideas that may some day change the world are born.
