At the start of the new era, there has been many developments in types of energy resources. These types of resources include heat energy, wind energy, solar energy etc. However, there has been a back and forth debate against whether nuclear energy is beneficial or not.
First and foremost, greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere is lowered when we use nuclear energy. Moreover, nuclear energy reduces existing and future waste. In addition to this, it also uses less land space with little operation and production costs.
However, most people feel that processing nuclear energy is like being a target for terrorism. In reference to an earlier point concerning waste, it takes more than 200-500 thousand years to dispose the waste properly. Furthermore, high construction costs, subsidies and time is needed to develop nuclear energy.
On a closing note, environmentalists and I feel that nuclear waste is beneficial as it helps to use energy more effectively without damaging the environment. However, I would suggest not overusing these resources and making them scarce.
